Young people from Den Dam strengthen the crew of AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena

Sometimes an opportunity for the future starts just across the street. With great enthusiasm, the AFAS Dome and the Lotto Arena are building an even stronger bridge with their neighbours in the Den Dam district, located just a stone’s throw from both venues. In collaboration with community organisation Elegast Den Dam, we now offer local young people the chance to gain valuable work experience as site crew in both venues.

“Not everyone gets the same opportunities on the job market,” says Jeroen Buytaert, community worker at Elegast Den Dam. “It really isn’t easy for everyone to find work or to find what they're passionate about. That’s why we’re glad that young people from our neighbourhood are getting this chance.”

Last week, the first introduction already took place. During a backstage tour, the youngsters were given a unique look behind the scenes, and the first practical agreements were made.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming these new talents to our venues soon and helping them grow even further.
