Pura Vida Tacos brings plant-based tacos and burritos to AFAS Dome

29.09.2025

On Friday, October 3, taqueria Pura Vida Tacos will open a brand-new food bar at AFAS Dome, right on the evening of the very first K3 Originals show. There’s hardly a better moment to introduce their colorful, plant-based street food to a large audience. The concept, already a staple in the heart of Antwerp, is now bringing its legendary tacos and burritos to the country’s biggest concert venue.

A pioneer in the Belgian food scene

When Pura Vida Tacos first opened its doors on Theaterplein in Antwerp, it made a bold choice: a menu that’s 100% plant-based. No compromises, just creativity. Tacos, burritos, tortas, gringas, and nachos are given a plant-based twist with ingredients like seitan, spicy vegan chorizo, and house-made tofu-based cheese. This pioneering spirit also shines through in their communication. On Instagram, they proudly call themselves “Belgium’s 1st Plant-Based Taqueria.”

Beyond the vegan crowd

While Pura Vida Tacos primarily targets vegans and vegetarians, it also appeals to a broader audience. Flexitarians and curious foodies can discover plant-based dining in an accessible way—without sacrificing flavor or atmosphere. That same approach will now be extended to the AFAS Dome, where everyone is welcome to try their tacos and burritos at the new food stand.

A story with a future

By opening a food bar in the AFAS Dome, Pura Vida Tacos is taking the next step. From a colorful taqueria in downtown Antwerp to a food bar in the country’s largest concert venue, this pioneering project proves that plant-based cuisine pairs perfectly with world-class entertainment.
